Cold rolled steel coil is low-carbon hot-rolled steel that has been cleaned of oxide scale and then finished in a specific series of rolling to just over the desired thickness, heating to controlled temperatures, and final rolling to the desired thickness. Cold rolled steel coill with close dimensional tolerances and a wide range of controlled surface finishes. Use cold rolled steel coils where thickness tolerances and surface condition are important for light gauge applications.

Cold rolled steel (sometimes abbreviated as CRS) is known for being extremely ductile and is ideal for applications where precision is required. It is used in many applications such as household appliances, furniture, lockers and filing cabinets. In construction applications, CRS is often used to build garages, steel sheds and other industrial buildings.
